What is NZEB?

Definition: 'Nearly Zero Energy Buildings', NZEB means a building that has a very high energy performance where the nearly zero or very low amount of energy required should be covered to a very significant extent by energy from renewable sources including energy from renewable sources produced on-site or nearby“.

When does NZEB become mandatory?

                                       Construction Starts

Commercial Buildings:   1st January 2019

Residential Buildings:     31st March 2019

NZEB Training courses being delivered in WWETB’s Training Centre in Enniscorthy are the first trade specific NZEB Courses in Europe. 

What Certification is offered on this course?

All of the NZEB courses are City and Guilds Quality Assured and a certificate and digital badge will be issued to participants on successful completion of the course

How much does each course cost?

All courses are fully funded under the Skills to Advance Initiative. Skills to Advance is a SOLAS initiative in partnership with ETBs and supported by Government.
