WWETB – Waterford Training Centre Opens Test Centre

Waterford Training Centre has recently been approved as a Pearson VUE® computer based test centre.  The facility will provide an opportunity for individuals to take proctored exams that verify IT skills in a range of areas such as Microsoft, CompTIA, CISCO and Adobe to list just a few.  

The test centre facility in Waterford Training Centre will accommodate up to 10 test candidates.  Senior Management from Sun Life Financial attended the official opening recently.  In attendance was Assistant Vice President of Sun Life Financial Susan Friedman, John Weldon, Director, Service Desk and his Management Team; Laura Ryan, Fiona Murphy, Gary Camon and Martina Maloney.  

On the occasion, Susan Friedman commended the facility for being “state of the art and a great setting for testing”. Mr John Weldon for Sun Life, Waterford, said: “it will be a great asset to our company as our employees will no longer have to travel outside of Waterford to take their tests”.  He added that “this will increase productivity and will increase the number of employees that will be able to take CompTIA examinations”. 

Mr Kevin Lewis, CE, WWETB said: “it was a great occasion to open the facility as it will enhance the services provided by Waterford Training Centre to the IT industry in Waterford and its environs”.
